The valley floor herd, summer abundance

Elk grazing on Telluride's Valley Floor often watch the people who stop to watch the elk. This amusing phenomenon inspired me to design this image. The Telluride Valley Floor is a Conservation Easement where wildlife can roam undisturbed. In high summer the elk coats are often a lustrous deep reddish hue.

Original Laurie Roddick design with accent border of E.A. Seguy art deco graphics.

Size: 50" W x 20-1/4" D x 30-1/4" H  Materials: Ceramic tile, steel powder coated a hard matte saddle brown.

This design is based upon one of many beautiful bead motifs that were developed by 19th century Native Americans of the Great Lakes region.
